Navarro Express [Corsicana, TX], April 21, 1860

We had a call from Capt. I. T. Davis, of Upshur, who is a member of the above named mysterious order, yesterday morning. The Captain informed us that he has a company numbering some fifty three men just ahead of him, several along and fifteen on his trail; also, that there are about fifteen companies, numbering in all some several hundred men, who are endeavoring to get together, and that their intention is to march immediately into Mexico. Captain Davis has authority to initiate all who feel desirous of joining the order. His men were raised in Upshur and Hopkins counties.

Messrs. B. H. Ragsdale and T. C. Ripley, members of the “Press-Gang” also paid us a visit. We suppose their intention is to hang the banner on the outer wall,

“Charge, Chester, charge!
On, Stanly, on!”
