The county seat of Franklin County, Ozark is located on the north bank of
Ozark Lake, at the 19 mile bend of the Arkansas River, upstream of
Ozark-Jeta Taylor Lock and Dam No. 12 of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River
Navigation System.
Game fish in the river include sauger, walleyed pike, catfish, bream, and
crappie, as well as striped, white and largemouth bass.
Ozark had a population of 3,525 people in the 2000 census.
