Corn crib
A year's supply of corn would be brought in a dumped into the crib through a hatch high above the wagon. Still on the cob and in the shuck, the corn was allowed to air dry enough to be ground into meal or be used for feed for chickens or other live stock. Spaces between the logs were left open, which enhanced air circulation and drying. The overhangs provide room for sheltering tools and vehicles from the weather.
