That Bell

Sugar Planter [West Baton Rouge, LA], September 15, 1860

We omitted last week to announce the arrival of the huge bell weighing some eight hundred pounds in Baton Rouge, for the Bell and Everett club of that city. It will be mounted upon a platform, and will be used in the great demonstration shortly to take place there. Let it ring, and may its echoes float all over the Union, striking terror and dismay into the hearts of all disunionists and rail-splitters.
