Dear Sir: The undersigned, who are now raising a company for the purpose of privateering on the Mississippi River, are desirous of the issuance to them of letters of marque and reprisal from our Government for that purpose.
The first name signed hereto would respectfully refer you to the Hon . T. O. Moore, governor of Louisiana, and Hon. Ed. Sparrow, member of the Confederate Congress from this State, and who resides in our parish.
