Alamo Express [San Antonio, TX], August 25, 1860
The report which we mentioned in our last in regard to the hanging of the map man, Mr. Parker, is contradicted by the Herald. We have obtained some more particulars. Mr. L. Zork, of our city, who was in Richmond on Thursday the 16th, says that Parker was then in jail, and was to be tried on the Saturday following, and that he heard it mentioned that he would be hung. The letter upon which the report is contradicted, is dated Matagorda the 6th inst.
