A young woman, named Mary Graham, shot George Fitzhugh, the overseer of a plantation in Hinds county, Miss., on the 24th ult. Fitzhugh had seduced the girl under promise of marriage, and when asked by his victim to redeem his promise, he scoffed at her position, whereupon she drew a revolver and shot him three times. He is not expected to recover. So states the Sea Coast Democrat.
